It means that you have behaved inappropriately or oppressively, that you have been insistent and that your words or actions have made someone feel uncomfortable, if not downright insecure.
This doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a bad person. A lot of oppressive behaviour is tolerated and even encouraged by our society. From our earliest childhood, we have all learned this type of behaviour, which we often reproduce without realising it!
It happens to everyone to screw up. If you’re here, it’s probably because you don’t want to go down this road any more. And it’s to help you in this quest that we’ve written the articles below.
And if you’ve come here without being given a card, because someone told you about the site or just by chance, stay with us, there’s always something to learn. Because whatever our journey, there’s always a relou hiding in each of us…
Each card an article
We’ve written a number of different articles, one for each existing card: ‘You are **relou**’, ‘No means no’, ‘That is sexist’, ‘Stop mansplain me’, ‘Boo hoo, my privileges’.
To start with, we strongly encourage you to have a look at the article linked to the card you’ve received, by clicking on the corresponding image below:
If you would like to order cards, you can find all the information you need on this page.
What if I’ve screwed up?
If you’re there because someone gave you a card, you’ve screwed up somewhere. The use of psychoactive substances can reduce our capacity for discernment. But sometimes it can simply be enthusiasm or the reproduction of oppressive behaviour that we’ve assimilated.
If you happen to behave inappropriately and someone tells you, don’t deny it. Even if your intentions are good, behaviour is inappropriate as long as it makes another person feel uncomfortable. Take the comment on board and put an end to the behaviour immediately. Then, without forcing the issue, apologise and thank the person for taking the trouble to inform you.

We hope to be able to produce a list of reference articles in the near future and go into more depth on certain subjects, but in the meantime, don’t hesitate to do a little research – there’s no shortage of content.
